Online social networking site Ask My Network has added Tony Bickford, founder and chairman of address management software company QAS, to its board. Bickford, who will help develop a business growth strategy, says: "I am looking forward to my role in changing the way people gather information and advice."
Internet company Ask My network has launched a free service helping people to find skilled and trustworthy professionals and tradesmen - from builders and plumbers to lawyers and even nannies! Finding reliable services is often a headache and this site aims to make life easier.
The service allows users to contact people who can offer personal recommendations, thus helping to avoid rogue traders. It also offers users the opportunity to share their own information with others. Those with vested interests are not allowed to use the site and your personal details including email address are only shared with other users if you choose to do so.
Tony Bickford has joined the board of Ask My Network, which runs a social networking website where 30,000 members swap information on anything from choosing a trusted trades person to finding a job. Mr Bickford is founder and chairman of QAS, whose QuickAddress software is used by 8,500 companies
